GLOBAL ECONOMIC TRENDS – CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES
The Conference will be held on November 28 – 29, 2022 in Belgrade.
The objective of the conference is to bring together scientists, researchers and policymakers from various countries and to provide an opportunity to exchange experiences, research results and new ideas to identify solutions and challenges to global economic trends.
In this moment, the world’s biggest challenge is energy crisis which started at the end of the previous year. On top of it world is still facing with one of the highest natural and social risks – Covid 19 and huge logistic problems connected with it. As a consequence, all major financial institutions across the globe cut their forecasted statistics, stagflation is already a reality and there is highly realistic scenario of the upcoming recession in the coming year. The scope of the conference is to analyze the impact of stagflation due to many severe factors on different spheres of economy (financial markets, macro-economies, industries, service sectors, etc.). A priority is given to papers with the analysis of quantitative data, but also welcome are studies with theoretical discussions.
Deadline for the submission of extended abstracts is November 10, 2022.
Papers presented at the conference will be published either in the Conference Proceedings or in the supporting journals Mathematics (more information here), Economic Analysis (more information here), International Econometric Review (more information here), or Balkan Economic Review (more information here).
IMPORTANT NOTICE
We are constantly monitoring developments, especially the advice of the healthcare professionals. Still, we cannot predict the worldwide development and spread of coronavirus or how long this situation will last from now until the conference days. Having this in mind, we will give our best to create the needed conditions for the conference. In particular, if the virus prevents us from being physically in the same place and holding a conference, we will enable the conference to be held online. In all cases, we will keep you informed about the decisions in due time.
