COURSES
1. Methodology of Economic Research

The aim is for students to understand the essence of scientific research, familiarize themselves with types of scientific and empirical economic research, comprehend the presentation forms of scientific results, and grasp the stochastic nature of economic phenomena and its implications on the choice of research methods and techniques.
2. Economic Analysis II
Semester: 1, Status: Mandatory, ECTS: 10
The goal is to equip students for a higher level of analysis of consumer (individuals and households) and producer (companies, sellers) behavior and the functioning of the economies of states, regions, and broader economic groupings.
3. Finance Theories
Semester: 1, Status: Mandatory, ECTS: 10
Objectives include gaining new knowledge in the areas of monetary and fiscal policy, interpreting monetary and fiscal reports, understanding the complex issues of public finances, and their impact on economic trends.

The aim is for students to master ways of solving fundamental problems related to instruments associated with international movement of goods, services, and capital, as well as predicting and interpreting international effects of economic policies in a financially and globally integrated environment.

The basic goal is for students to master methods and techniques of econometric analysis of data presented in the form of cross-sectional data, time series, and panel data.

The main objective is for students to gain knowledge and skills in using multivariate analysis methods to study simultaneous dependencies among three or more phenomena or variables.
7. Publication of Scientific Paper

This activity involves two basic elements: reviewing and analyzing relevant literature and the degree of research within the subject of the paper, and collecting, processing, and analyzing data to test the basic hypothesis of the research.

Corporate Restructuring and Entrepreneurship

The goal of this course is for students to understand the interdisciplinary and complex nature of corporate restructuring.
Marketing in Finance

The main objective is to enable students to use the latest concepts, methods, techniques, and tools of marketing financial services to improve decision-making systems in banks, insurance companies, and other financial organizations.
10. Doctoral Dissertation Proposal
Semester: 3, Status: Mandatory, ECTS: 10
At the end of the semester, the student submits a doctoral dissertation proposal to the Doctoral Studies Council in written form, based on a detailed analysis of the research level within the subject.
11. Defense of the Doctoral Dissertation Proposal
Semester: 4, Status: Mandatory, ECTS: 10
At the beginning of the semester, the student defends the doctoral dissertation project proposal before the committee, involving a scientific discussion on the subject, goals, hypotheses, research methodology, and the structure of the work.
12. Reporting on Research Progress I
Semester: 4, Status: Mandatory, ECTS: 10
Involves periodic reporting on progress regarding literature collection and the level of research.
13. Scientific Article and First Doctoral Colloquium
Semester: 4, Status: Mandatory, ECTS: 10
Involves publishing a paper in one of the journals approved by the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technological Development.
14. Monthly Reporting on Research Progress
Semester: 5, Status: Mandatory, ECTS: 10
Monthly reporting on progress in terms of literature collection and the level of research, including a review and, if necessary, correction of certain aspects and approaches to research.
15. Second Doctoral Colloquium
Semester: 5, Status: Mandatory, ECTS: 10
At the end of the semester, a joint meeting of all candidates and members of the mentoring committee (Second Doctoral Colloquium) is organized to analyze the achieved level of research and define further steps towards finalizing the thesis.
16. Reporting on Research Progress II
Semester: 5, Status: Mandatory, ECTS: 10
The candidate presents the results achieved in the research, and a critical discussion ensues regarding open questions aimed at completing the research.
17. Doctoral Dissertation Defense
Semester: 6, Status: Mandatory, ECTS: 30
The final step involves defending the doctoral dissertation, culminating in the completion of the doctoral studies.
