BIOGRAPHY

Education and Professional Development

Graduated in 1997 from the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade (majoring in Marketing) with an average grade of 9.11. She completed her post-graduate studies with an average grade of 10 at the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade and received her master’s degree in 2001, defending her master’s thesis entitled “The role of marketing in the formulation and implementation of the company’s development strategy”. She obtained the academic title of Master of Economic Sciences and the research title of research associate at the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade. She defended her doctoral dissertation, entitled “Integrated Marketing Communications of Financial Organizations”, in 2010 at the Belgrade Banking Academy – Faculty of Banking, Insurance and Finance, Belgrade.
During her postgraduate studies, she was trained at the Faculty of Management (SAA), University of Turin, as part of the implementation of the two-year Tempus project – Business University of the New Age in Serbia (BUONA). On that occasion, she became familiar with the content of advanced courses in the field of Marketing that are conducted at the SAA in Turin, and she transferred her experience to the creation of a modern Marketing Management course at the Master’s studies of the Belgrade Banking Academy. In addition, she participated in several scientific and professional conferences in the field of business economics and marketing, and attended professional courses in the field of integrated marketing communications, PR, marketing research and digital marketing.

Professional Career

In the period 1998-2003. She was employed at the Institute for Market Research (IZIT) Belgrade, first as a research trainee, and then as a research associate. Since August 2003, she has been employed at the Institute of Economic Sciences from Belgrade, where she earned the title of research associate in 2010, and scientific advisor in 2020. She was the President of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Economic Sciences in Belgrade in the period 2014-2019. year.
Ivana Domazet is:

  • Deputy President of the Main Scientific Committee for Law, Economics and Political Sciences of the Republic of Serbia
  • member of the Board of Directors of the Institute of Social Sciences from Belgrade (since 2014)
  • member of the BBA Council (since 2015)
  • Deputy President (2014 – 2023), member (since 2023) of the Management Board of the Institute of Economic Sciences from Belgrade
  • member of the Scientific Society of Serbian Economists (since 2010)
  • member of the Serbian Marketing Association (since 2011).

In parallel with scientific research, she is dedicated to her teaching career at the Belgrade Banking Academy – Faculty of Banking, Insurance and Finance, where she has been engaged since 2006 to teach courses in the field of Marketing.
Since 2005, she has been continuously engaged as a marketing consultant in several Serbian companies, where she primarily deals with corporate branding and the creation of integrated marketing communications strategies.
