Ivana Simeunović was born in 1978 in Čačak where she completed elementary and high school. After compliting high school she enrolled at the Faculty of Mathematics, Belgrade University where she graduated in 2002. She graduated from postgraduate studies with major in Actuary Science at the Faculty of Economy, Belgrade University in 2007 with the thesis “Mathematical-Statistical Foundations of Determining The Premium of Property Insurance”. She defended her doctoral dissertation “Statistical-Actuarial Foundations and Solving Problems in the Process of Determining Premium in Auto-Liability Insurance” at the Belgrade Banking Academy – Faculty of Banking, Insurance and Finance, supervised by professor Hasan Hanić in 2010.
During 2008-2009 she completed training supervised by the National Bank of Serbia and alligned with the International programme for gaining a licence to become a certified actuary and after that she became the head of the this type of training which was held at the Belgrade Banking Academy – Faculty of Banking, Insurance and Finance from 2009 to 2014.
She was a mathematics teacher in the private school Cosmopitan in Belgrade from 2002 to 2003. She stayed in the USA from 2003 to 2005 working as a computer-expert in the international company Rimaco, USA. She has been teaching Financial Mathematics and Quantitative Methods within Link Group, Business Academy since 2012.
She has been fully employed at the Belgrade Banking Academy – Faculty of Banking, Insurance and Finance, since 2005. She was appointed full professor in 2020 and teaches at all levels of academic studies. She was a member of the Council of Faculty from 2011 to 2014 and she has been a member of the Council of the University since 2015.
