Methodology of scientific research
Prof. Dr. Mirjana Radović-Marković was born in Belgrade, where she completed her education. After finishing high school, she entered the Faculty of Economics at the University of Belgrade, and then continued her postgraduate studies at the same faculty, where she defended her degree in 1982. Master’s thesis. She received her doctorate at the Faculty of Economics, University of Belgrade. After defending her doctoral thesis, she continues her professional training abroad. First in the Netherlands at the Institute for Social Sciences in Den Hague in 1987, then she received a United Nations scholarship in 1988 and went on to postdoctoral studies at the Faculty of Economics, Lomonosov University in Moscow. The following year, in 1989, she went on a study stay in the United States of America.
During 2014 and 2015, she completed specialization in the field of education at the College of Teachers from London, Great Britain and obtained a certificate as a licensed teacher
After completing her regular studies, she worked first at the Institute of Economics, and then continued her rich career at the Institute of Economic Sciences, the Faculty of Management, BK, the Faculty of Economics and Engineering Management – University of Economics, BBA – Union University, the College of Business Economics and entrepreneurship and other academic institutions.
So far, she has published 298 scientific papers (Impact factor 27 ), 20 of which are on the SCI list and 38 on SCOPUS. Her most famous books are “Entrepreneurship and Work in Gig Economy” (2021), “Globalization and Entrepreneurship in Small Countries”, (2019), then “Qualitative methods in economics”, (2017), as well as the book “Women and entrepreneurship: female durability, persistence and intuition at work” (2013) (was a bestseller in America and Canada in July and August 2014).
She earned the title of full professor in 2008. at the University of Kragujevac. Then she was elected to this same title at several faculties and universities in the country and abroad, such as the Faculty of Business Economics and Entrepreneurship (2012), the University Business Academy ,(2017), the South State Ural University in Russia (2017) and the University Donja Gorica in Montenegro (2019).
Upon invitation, she gave more than thirty lectures abroad – she taught at universities in Oxford, Lugano, Sofia, Moscow ,Warsaw, Budapest,Wroclaw, Changsha and others.
She founded three scientific journals of which she has been the editor-in-chief since the foundation – Journal of Women’s Entrepreneurship and Education, International Review and Entrepreneurship and Business Resilience.
She is the winner of 20 national and international awards for her scientific and pedagogical work. During 2023, she was included for the second time in the Oxford encyclopedia “Who is Who” in Serbia and in the book Heroes and Creators, which includes all previous winners of the “Captain Misa Anastasijević” award.
In the middle of 2023. , prof. Radović-Marković was elected as a foreign member of the National Academy of Sciences in Bangladesh, while previously she was elected to the European Academy of Sciences from London, Great Britain, the European Academy of Sciences and Arts in Salzburg, Austria, the World Academy of Arts and Sciences, Napa, United States of America and others. She is also the holder of four honorary doctorates in America, India, South Korea and Sri Lanka.
She was a member of the highest bodies of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia (member of the Main Board for Social Sciences from 2010-2016, member of the National Council for Science from 2016-2021, and member of the National Council for Higher Education from 2022-present ). In addition, she also serves as a member of the Senate of the University Business Academy in Novi Sad.
She has been teaching at the Belgrade Banking Academy as a full professor since 2014.
