BIOGRAPHY

Education and Professional Development

Born on February 3, 1961, in Beograd. He graduated at the Faculty of Economics (University of Beograd) in 1983. He acquired MA degree in 1986 and PhD in 1992 at the Faculty of Economics (University of Beograd).
In 1989 he visited Faculty of Economics in Trondheim and Norwegian Institute for Urban and Regional Research in Oslo (Norwegian Government Scholarship Program), in 1990 London School of Economics and St. Catherine College, Cambridge and in 1994 he realised study visit in Canada (Brock University and Toronto University). As visiting professor, he realized study trip to Greece at the Athens University of Economy and Business in 2000, and within the Tempus project in 2008 study trip to Italy at the Faculty of Management in Turin. He was the guest lecturer at the Faculty of Business and Law, Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences at the 5th International Week in 2012. Within the ERASMUS+ teaching mobility program, he visited the Faculty of Economics, Technical University Košice (Slovakia) in 2018, and the Faculty of Economics and Information Technology Sciences, Mazovian State University Plock (Poland) in 2020.

Professional Career

He started his career in the Economic Institute in Beograd, where he was engaged from 1985 till 1992 as researcher working with different projects in the field of economic and regional development, economic restructuring and business investment.
From 1992 till 2008 he was engaged at the Faculty of Management BK (assistant professor, associate professor and full professor) teaching Entrepreneurship and Small business management. He was the Dean of the Faculty of Management BK in the period 1996-1997.
Since 2008 he has been working at Belgrade Banking Academy as full professor. He is the coordinator of the internship program at BBA and the Head of the Commission for recognition of diplomas.
He was the Member of SME Board in Chamber of Economy of Beograd and the Member of SME Board in Chamber of Economy of Serbia in several mandates.
Since 2000 he has been working as consultant on numerous international projects in the field of entrepreneurship development in Serbia.
